Fidium Fiber completed its expansion in Fairfield last week, giving residents and business owners access to high-speed, fiber-optic internet service.
As part of a long-term initiative to expand broadband access in Epsom, the town and surrounding areas in the Suncook Valley will see over 2,400 new connections of homes and businesses to Fidium's high-speed fiber internet network over the next few months, with construction beginning on Friday.
In fulfilling its $40 million contract with the state of New Hampshire, Fidium Fiber is expanding into more North Country towns and connecting thousands of residents with the option of high-speed Internet broadband.
Fidium Fiber is expanding its coverage into the Lakes Region, developing fiber infrastructure that will provide service to more than 9,600 homes in Windham, Gorham and Standish.
Fidium Fiber has expanded its symmetrical, multi-gig speed internet service to Oakland, as well as parts of Belgrade and Sidney, making its future-proof fiber network available to more than 4,000 homes and businesses in the community.
Last Thursday at Vermont State University-Johnson, representatives from Fidium, the Vermont Community Broadband Board and the town-appointed representatives who oversaw the project with Lamoille FiberNet gathered to cut the ceremonial ribbon.
