Why didn’t I do this years ago?

Kandi-Lee is a long-time resident of South Portland, Maine. She keeps pretty busy taking care of her home, volunteering in her community and gardening. Though some days, she takes it easy and curls up on the couch with a movie and a cup of tea; the benefits of retirement. 

Like a lot of folks, she was frustrated with her internet and cable provider. Her service was going out all the time, and her bills just kept going up and up without notice. She felt stuck, what were her options? 

After a few years of waffling, she heard that Fidium was building a fiber network in South Portland.  

“I asked my brother about Fidium, he’d had it for a couple years,” Kandi-Lee recalls. He convinced her to give it a go.  

“The installation was so quick, and so professional!” said Kandi-Lee. She was impressed that she didn’t even have to waste a day reconnecting all her household devices to the WiFi. Her installation tech made sure everything was working before he left.  

Since switching to Fidium, Kandi-Lee and her husband are super happy with their service.  With Fidium’s reliable, stable connection, Kandi-Lee’s husband is even able to work from home a couple of days a week. With their old cable connection, he frequently got bumped offline or left Kandi-Lee with no bandwidth while he worked on large files.  

Today between doing online research for her husband’s retirement in a few years, emailing for her volunteer work, she’s found that she really appreciates her streaming entertainment options the most.  

“It’s a scary step, because change is scary. But once you do it, you wonder why you didn’t do this years ago!” she reports. Now she can still access her beloved Bruins hockey games and has more choices in entertainment for a fraction of what Kandi-Lee used to pay for cable.
