Common Questions
Do I need to do anything?
No. Fidium customers do NOT need to take any action related to planned network enhancements activity.
Will I experience a service interruption?
We strive to manage Fidium network traffic in a way that minimizes disruption to customers while planned maintenance / upgrade activities are in progress. If, during the brief window when work is in progress, you experience a service interruption, it is not necessary to call in to report the issue. Service should resume as normal within the enhancement window indicated in the notification you received.
What if I experience connection or speed issues AFTER the planned maintenance window?
If the equipment in your home seems to be performing poorly and you think it is related to our planned Fidium network enhancements, a quick restart of your ONT (optical network terminal) & Gateway devices may be a good way to remedy this. Try these Internet troubleshooting steps.
