Croydon, N.H. is officially a Gig Town
Croydon, N.H.’s path to fiber was a team effort, and one that led to it's official designation as a Gig Town.
When Fidium completed its expansion to Croydon in 2025, the Select Board and the Croydon Broadband Committee welcomed it. Dale Cunningham, the committee’s co-chair, said it came after “years of collaboration.” She said residents can now work from home, use telehealth services and stream video with a dependable connection, which she expected to make Croydon a more attractive place to live.
The Gig Town designation recognizes that connection to Fidium’s all-fiber network.
What fiber means in a town this size
Fidium’s network delivers multi-gig speeds with symmetrical upload and download, so uploads keep pace with downloads. In a rural town, that supports remote work, small business, telehealth and virtual learning without a trip to the nearest office, clinic or classroom.
Zooming out
