Light Reading names Fidium a Leading Lights Award winner for digital divide work

Fidium won Light Reading's "Outstanding Use Case: Bridging the Digital Divide" award for its countywide fiber build in Lincoln County, Maine, in partnership with the Maine Connectivity Authority. Judges cited the project's combination of a rural fiber build, an affordability mechanism, a digital literacy component and a public-private structure. The build totaled roughly $30 million, with $21.8 million of it in Fidium's own capital.
