Fidium honored for delivering high-quality broadband that strengthens economic opportunity and daily life in rural Maine communities 

PORTLAND, Maine, — Nov. 21, 2025 — Fidium, a next-generation fiber internet and network services company, has been recognized with the Pinnacle Award for Telecom and Wireless, earning the distinction of Rural Broadband Champion.

This rapid deployment stands as a model for successful rural broadband expansion in underserved areas, building upon Fidium’s expansion efforts through Maine. Today, 70 percent of Mainers have access to Fidium’s reliable fiber network – the most expansive network in the state, spanning more than 20,000 miles. As a result, more than 459,000 homes and businesses across 340 Maine communities can now benefit from Fidium’s future-ready connectivity and the opportunities that come with it.
