Fidium Fiber expanding into Wilton, Livermore and Jay
Fidium Fiber, a brand from Consolidated Communications Holdings, Inc, will begin expanding their infrastructure into Wilton, Jay and more starting on Tuesday, Jan. 2, of 2024.
REGION — Fidium Fiber, a brand from Consolidated Communications Holdings, Inc, have announced they will be expanding their services to more than 6,800 homes and businesses in Livermore, Wilton, Chesterville, Dixfield, Fayette and Jay regions. Construction is anticipated to begin Tuesday, Jan. 2, in the new year with additional build-out scheduled for the coming weeks.
In an construction alert email, Fidium Fiber stated they “appreciate your patience while we upgrade neighborhoods to 100% fiber internet.”
Fidium Fiber plans on sharing more information on the fiber build progress through town and city officials, as well as residents through mailers, door hangers and construction alerts.
“Fidium representatives will be visiting neighborhoods to share more about what to expect during construction and how to sign up to be the first notified as soon as service is ready to install,” the email stated.

Owned by Consolidated Communications Holdings, Inc, the announcement brings to light what Consolidated Communications has been planning for the community in terms of expansion.
It was previously reported in the Livermore Falls Advertiser that the future of broadband internet in the town of Wilton was uncertain.
