Fidium Fiber has begun construction to bring high-speed fiber-optic internet to 20 addresses in Shelburne. The work is expected to finish next year.

As the midpoint of the year approaches, one of the two entities the state of New Hampshire has contracted with to expand high-speed Internet broadband across the state gave a North Country update. Representatives for Fidium Fiber, whose build-out in the region is now complete, said recently that fiber build-out was completed in the towns of Franconia and Lancaster, creating access to more than 3,000 homes and businesses.

idium is expanding its all-fiber network in Chittenden County, to bring multi-gig speed access to more than 1,800 previously underserved homes and businesses. In partnership with the Chittenden County Communications Union District, these broadband access upgrades are slated to begin as early as today in Shelburne, and will continue on throughout Essex Town, Westford, Jericho, Shelburne and Williston this summer.
