New Hampshire is more than halfway to providing high-speed, reliable broadband to 48,000 unserved and underserved addresses across 115 municipalities, a $90 million effort funded by the American Rescue Plan Act.

Fiber internet provider, Fidium, plans to start construction as soon as Friday, Jan. 3, with exact starting dates varying between different areas. The country-wide provider is set to expand its services to Enosburgh and Sheldon as well as parts of Bakersfield and Berkshire.

Fidium has expanded its multi-gig, symmetrical speed internet service to more than 1,200 additional homes and businesses in Lufkin. Since 2021, Fidium has delivered fiber internet access to more than 24,000 homes and businesses in Lufkin.

Fidium has announced it is expanding its all-fiber internet network in Jackson, bringing multi-gigabit speed service to more than 3,100 homes and businesses. Fiber infrastructure construction is scheduled to begin Friday, with exact start dates varying by location.

Fidium Fiber completed its expansion in Fairfield last week, giving residents and business owners access to high-speed, fiber-optic internet service.

As part of a long-term initiative to expand broadband access in Epsom, the town and surrounding areas in the Suncook Valley will see over 2,400 new connections of homes and businesses to Fidium's high-speed fiber internet network over the next few months, with construction beginning on Friday.
