Members of the Dresden Broadband Committee and others from the community took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony in August, recognizing the completion of the new fiber network. Fidium’s expansion in Dresden came as the result of a partnership between Lincoln County, the Maine Connectivity Authority and Fidium. During the event, local officials and community members celebrated new fiber access, with Fidium naming Dresden as an official ‘Gig Town.’

The Dresden Broadband Committee continues to be a resource, connecting residents to trainings, resources and tools to enable everyone to be able to take full advantage of new fiber access from Fidium.
