Representatives from Fidium Fiber announced on Thursday that more than 2,000 combined homes and businesses in Northumberland, Stark, and Stratford and across the river in Maidstone now have access to multi-gig Internet speeds.

Those seeking high-speed Internet in Littleton have more options following the installation of Fidium Fiber, as part of the state's contract to expand broadband across New Hampshire.

Portland civic and business officials are gathering Wednesday, Aug. 14, to celebrate the city's recognition as a Gig Town, a designation that it has access to multi-gig speed fiber broadband.

The completion of the network means high-speed internet will be available to more than 900 homes and businesses in the community.

Fidium Fiber is now available to more than 4,600 homes and businesses in Bar Harbor and Mount Desert. Fidium Fiber delivers multi-gig-speed internet without contracts, installation fees or data caps and offers symmetrical speeds from 100 mbps to 2 gigs (2000 mbps) and VoIP phone service plans.
