Fidium Fiber is promising to deliver gigabit-speed internet to communities like Dorset in Bennington County as fiber optic line becomes available in rural parts of the state
Fidium Fiber will install fiber optic cables in this area of Franklin County over the coming weeks so that households and businesses may have the choice of using this service.
Residents and business owners in Jay, Livermore Falls, Wilton and parts of Dixfield, Fayette and Chesterville will have access to multi-gigabit, symmetrical internet service from Fidium fiber in 2024.
Bennington County became one of the first counties in Vermont where universal broadband access is within reach. The Southern Vermont Communications Union District and Fidium Fiber held a ceremony at Bromley Mountain on Aug. 8 to mark the moment.
